Original - Oil on gallery wrap canvas 10" x 10" Inspired by the funerary Bakota masks of Africa often used to represent those departed family spirits from a positive perspective. Many of these masks have used copper and brass in their designs making them quite striking. I have incorporated some of this coloring in my painting.
