Portable Fume Extractor - Model H8375 Efficiently capture welding fumes at the source with the H8375 Portable Fume Extractor, designed to collect and recycle contaminated shop air containing welding dust, oily smoke, and fumes. This extractor is not intended as a standalone air cleaner and should not replace the use of respirators or fresh-air type respirators. It is not suitable for CNC lasers. Exercise caution when welding materials with coatings that produce toxic fumes when heated. The H8375 can be permanently connected to a small welding downdraft table or easily moved to different welding locations. Inside the cabinet, two squirrel-cage fans draw welding dust, smoke, and fumes through a suction hood, passing through a series of filters before the purified air re-enters the shop. The filtration process consists of five stages: Contaminated air enters through a slag catch tray and a 1-2mm stainless steel screen to trap sparks and collect minor welding slag. The first consumable pleated filter captures 35% of 2-10 micron welding dust and most oily smoke. The second consumable pleated filter catches 85% of 1-2 micron dust and the remaining oily smoke. A serviceable-type pleated filter captures 45% of 1-micron size particles. A HEPA filter captures 99.97% of 0.3-micron dust particles before the recycled air exits the machine.
