Thyroglobulin Antibody (TgAb) with Reflex to Thyroglobulin (IMA or RIA)

Diagnostic Blood Test: Thyroglobulin Antibody (TgAb) Thyroglobulin, IMA or RIA Thyroglobulin antibody (TgAb) testing is performed. If TgAb is negative, serum thyroglobulin is measured by a sensitive IMA. If TgAb is positive, serum thyroglobulin is measured by an RIA method. This RIA is resistant to interference by TgAb.Note: This test may exhibit interference when sample is collected from a person who is consuming a supplement with a high dose of biotin. Cease biotin supplementation at least 72 hours prior to blood draw.
