we deserve a world without war is my 11th poetry book ~ a pocket-sized project wrapped in a zine-inspired design. It features 17 new poems. You won’t find it on Amazon or big-box sites ~ just here and local stores.  The cover was created by Charleston, SC artist Riivo Kruuk.  Making art is a form of resistance and a form of rest. I’ve been living in those two spaces simultaneously, and realizing that the best form of self-care I can do for myself — in times of anxiety and joy — is to continue making art.
