Pinus densiflora ‘Oculus draconis’ is a Japanese Red Pine known as the Dragon's Eye pine. Each needle has 2 yellow bands and when viewed from above you see alternating bands of yellow and green "like the eye of a dragon". 'Oculus Draconis' matures to become a very gracefully if irregular shaped small pine. We like to candle prune when young to keep the plant more dense. 10 year size: Height: 10-12 Feet Width: 6-8 Feet
