Acer palmatum ‘Ruby Stars’ is an excellent dwarf Japanese maple with impressive colors throughout the year. ‘Ruby Stars’ has small, rounded leaves that emerge in spring a brilliant, deep red. These leaves then turn green in the summer. Come fall, the foliage of ‘Ruby Stars’ turns a bright, golden yellow. ‘Ruby Stars’ has a very dense, upright habit and forms a small, shrubby tree at maturity.
