Perrier, 11.5 oz. bottles, 24/case The originsof the spring To the north of the Vergize bottling facilityis the Garrigues de Names, which is made upof limestone rock formed during the Mesozoicera. This limestone developed fissures throughthe ages, allowing the passage of water. Theslimestone was initially covered withPlaisancian marls from the Tertiary era, thenby Quaternary alluvium formed of siliceoussand acting as a filter. This sand wascovered more recently by an impermeablelayer of clay, which still provides excellentprotection for the PERRIER water site.
