MK8 Plated A2 Tool Steel Wear Resistant Nozzle (CR10 / Ender / Tornado / MakerBot) -1.75mm Filament
Virtually eliminate 3D printer nozzle wear with a Micro Swiss A2 Hardened Tool Steel nozzle! Standard brass nozzles used in 3D printers are made of fairly soft metal and over time the nozzle's orifice will wear away to an uneven shape and larger diameter causing poor print quality. 3D printer filaments containing abrasive materials such as wood fibers, carbon fiber, metal powder, and glow-in-the-dark powders can accelerate this process very quickly. Accidentally crashing a nozzle into the printer's build surface or retaining clips can also severely damage standard brass nozzles as well. The Micro Swiss A2 Tool Steel nozzles are designed for high temperatures, abrasion resistance, and with superior non-stick properties. The nozzles are machined from A2 tool steel, hardened, and tempered to 57-62 RC. They are then plated with TwinClad XT coating. This additional coating has a hardness rating of 65-67 HRC, and includes Non-stick additives giving the surface a very low coefficient of fri
