Crushed Strawberry Quartz Chips (Natural) from Brazil, Pea-Sized Gravel (2mm-4mm)
Quartz is the second most abundant mineral in the Earth's crust. Many gemstones, such as amethyst, rose quartz, and citrine, are quartz varieties that have trace amounts of other elements within their crystalline structure. These trace elements produce the diverse variety of colors that we see in quartz. The color of strawberry quartz (translucent red) can be attributed to numerous tiny inclusions of iron-rich oxides inside the crystalline structure. These iron-rich oxides are generally composed of hematite, goethite, or lepidocrocite. This particular crushed strawberry quartz has NOT been treated and is from Brazil. Our coarse material is considered to be pea- sized gravel, ranging between 4 millimeters to 2 millimeters. Please see the corresponding sediment size chart.
