Crushed Light Blue Chrysocolla Chips from Peru, Coarse Crush, Pea-Sized Gravel (2mm-4mm)
Chrysocolla is a blue mineral that naturally forms near large copper ore deposits and is generally found with other copper-rich minerals, such as malachite and turquoise. This chrysocolla is from Peru and has a robin egg blue color. This material is also a great choice for woodworking projects, since chrysocolla is a relatively soft mineral, with a Moh's hardness of 2.5-3.5. Our coarse material is considered to be pea-sized gravel, ranging between 4 millimeters to 2 millimeters. Please see the corresponding sediment size chart. Mineral Properties Mohs’s Hardness: 2.5-3.5 Specific Gravity (g/cm3): 2.0 - 2.4 Luster: Dull, Waxy Color: Light Blue Origin: Peru This product is not man-made, mixed with resin, dyed, or stabilized.
