Green goldstone is a synthetic, glittering glass that was originally manufactured in Venice during the 17th century. Green goldstone is made in a low-oxygen reducing environment and contains tiny crystals of chromium oxides within a silica matrix. During production, silica, chromium, and other metal oxides are melted together and then cooled very slowly to form these tiny glittering crystals. Goldstone does polish up nicely and would be great in your inlay or jewelry projects. MATERIAL SIZE Our powdered material consists of mostly silt and clay sized particles (<0.25mm). Our powders do have a slight grit to them. Powdered minerals are great for filling in small cracks or voids, orgonite pyramids, resin molds, memorial and resin jewelry, ring inlay, resin art, and creating textured paints and pigments.
