Chrysocolla is a bright blue mineral that naturally forms near large copper ore deposits and is generally found with other copper-rich minerals, such as malachite and turquoise. This top-quality chrysocolla is from Peru and is perfect for projects that require a pop of color! This material is also a great choice for woodworking projects, since chrysocolla is a relatively soft mineral, with a Moh's hardness of 2.5-3.5. Our powdered material consists of mostly silt and clay sized particles. Our powders do have a slight grit to them.
