
WALKING THROUGH THE PARK ON A FOGGY MORNING
The forecast this morning was for foggy conditions until late morning so, photographing any kind of sunrise was out of the question. I left the house before 5:am and after photographing the wildflowers for a couple hours, the fog was still about and peaked my interest to find subjects that would help compliment the atmosphere that the fog brought to the landscape. With this type of atmosphere, I like photographing the landscape in black and white. The fog has an ethereal feeling about it and photographing it in black and white really brings out that feeling. After photographing some of the oak trees, I continued on along the path with the sun beginning to peak through the fog above. After photographing the cottonwood trees being back lit by the sunlight, I continued past the cottonwood trees, turned around, set up my tripod, camera, focused and began shooting this ethereal and foggy scene as the sunlight penetrated through the clouds softly illuminating the cottonwood trees at Wildflow
