One Gallon Grafted Allegheny Pawpaw Tree for Sale. Allegheny is a Neal Peterson variety that has an excellent sweet flavor but has slightly more seed percentage and is on the smaller side.  This was a variety Peterson was not going to introduce but enough people loved the flavor that he was convinced to release it.  You cant go wrong growing any of Neal Peterson pawpaw varieties. Tree Size: 16-18" tall tree in a 4"x4"x13.5" tree pot. Flavor: Very sweet Texture: Creamy texture Mature Size: 15-20 feet tall / wide (if unpruned) Approximate Hardiness: Zones 5-9 Pollination: Requires a second variety for pollination Ripening Time: Early Season (Early September in Kentucky)   Asimina Triloba Planting Information:Pawpaws do well, in well draining soil with a heavy mulch layer planted in full sun or partial shade.
