flower dyes: bundle dyeing + pounding - saturday july 10

DATES: 7/10, SA 12-3pm est (NYC time) WHERE: Zoom (you will receive a calendar invitation with login info) WORKSHOP: This workshop demonstrates ways to create floral patterns and impressions on fabrics, through bundle dyeing and pounding (hapa zome) techniques. Summer is the season for foraging and working with fresh blooms, so this is a fun way to get to know the flowers and plants growing in your surrounding neighborhood or garden. These techniques offer ways to add color to old, well-worn clothes that might need a refresh, as the patterns help to disguise stains and imperfections - and distract from new ones! I will share some ways to approach these techniques, and how they can be layered to create interesting and dynamic compositions.
