The drive bays are compatible with user-supplied drives that feature SAS 12 Gb/s or SATA 6 Gb/s interfaces. The ARC-8050T3U is armed with a dual-core 1.2 GHz RAID-On-Chip and 2GB of DDR3 ECC memory to offer hardware RAID protection, which enables you to configure your drives in a RAID 0, 1, 1E, 3, 5, 6, 10, 30, 50, 60, single disk, or JBOD array. Each of the two Thunderbolt 3 ports delivers up to 40 Gb/s transfer speeds and supports up to six Thunderbolt-enabled devices on a daisy-chain. To further expand your system's storage capability, you can connect additional storage units to the ARC-8050T3U's Thunderbolt 3 or SFF-8644 expansion ports. For cooling the internal components and your drives, two cooling fans are on board.
