This authentic Marseille Soap ("Savon de Marseille") comes in a compact oval shape, which makes it easy to handle. It is made of at least 72% vegetable oil. Cooked according to the traditional Marseilles soap-making process, it contains no coloring, no added fragrances and no synthetic products. It is also free of petroleum-based products and animal fats, unlike most soaps and shower gels on the market. Marseille soap has been handcrafted in France for about 600 years and Marius Fabre (member of the Union of Marseille Soap Makers) is one of four manufacturers still crafting genuine Marseille soap today.
