Codd-neck bottles were designed and manufactured with thick glass to withstand internal pressure, and a chamber to enclose a marble and a rubber washer in the neck. The bottles are filled upside down, and pressure of the gas in the bottle forced the marble against the washer, sealing in the carbonation. 9.5” Tall Made from heavy, thick green glass, with their original glass ball stoppers inside Embossed with: “Darwin" Due to the handmade and vintage nature of our products, some marks and scratches are inherent.  This is not considered damage and adds to the character of the piece.
