Georgetown "Founder's Day 1989" T-Shirt

Ask any Hoya who attended Georgetown in the mid-late 80's what their single favorite party was during the time on the Hilltop and chances are good that the words "Founder's Day" will be the next ones you hear. The Founders Day party in April of 1987 was legendary: Seven bands played from noon until dusk. The stage was at the intersection of 35th & O, the two blocks between there and Healy Gates were closed and filled with thousands of appreciative students by sundown. The party was a victim of its success however, as it never achieved those heights again due to clashes with off campus neighbors. The tradition carried on admirably in on-campus versions, though none could ever live up to the epic 87 bash.   The T-shirt presented here is from the 1989 Founders Day event, which was supposed to return to O Street, but was forced to relocate indoors (the Leavey Center food court) due to inclement weather.  While the 1989 celebration was a bit of a bust, the T-Shirt was actually a win
