Wax has a memory and the size of the wax pool during the initial burn determines the size of the wax pool from that point on. Insufficient burn time will cause tunneling and the outer wax will never burn.We recommend burning your candle for at least 1-2 hours on the first use. Burn your candle for a maximum of 4 hours at a time to avoid overheating or cracking the glass. Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each use to avoid black smoke from appearing on the glass.
