Sphenodiscus splendens & Hoploscaphites comprimus found together in a Found in the Fox Hills Formation, upper Maastrichtian Stage, Late Cretaceous of South Dakota Preparation by LPFOSSILS Two different ammonites together in a rock full of other sea shells (mostly mussels). Great for anyone starting a fossil collection. The original shell is mostly preserved on the Sphenodiscus while the Hoploscaphites shows its beautiful septal (suture) pattern on its phragmocone.
