Lichen and Lace - Marsh Mohair

So fuzzy! So soft! So pretty! Knit it alone, double stranded or stranded with another yarn. Marsh Mohair is a lace weight yarn with 64% kid mohair and 36% silk. There is a whopping 459 yards in each 50 gram skein.  Terrific to marl with another yarn and add a beautiful halo to any project. Materials: 64% kid mohair and 36% silk Weight: Lace Yardage: 459 yards / 50 grams Needles: 3.25mm - 5mm needles* Gauge: 4-6 stitches per inch*  Yarn Care: Hand wash * Note: the Lichen and Lace website gives this information for Needles and Gauge (4-6 stitches per inch, 3.25mm - 5mm needles). However, for lace weight yarn, typical needle sizes range from US 000 to 1 (or 1.5 to 2.25 mm), and the gauge is often 33 stitches or more per inch, depending on the pattern and stitch structure. Shrimp and Knits strongly recommends making a swatch prior to casting on to ensure the stitch structure makes gauge and looks like you are hoping it will. Mohair does not frog well!
