Symptoms indicating replacement needed include damage resulting from improper removal or usage, smoke leaks, becomes brittle, door no longer sealing adequately. Note:This gasket will only fit the C mod discharge door.  If your roaster does not use compressed air, then you have a C mod roaster, and this is the correct gasket. If the roaster does use compressed air, then it is a A/B Mod and will use part number 1002311 Example of the A and B mod door.  Not the parts highlighted in green: Example of the C mod door.  Not the parts highlighted in green:
