This gorgeous saw is a massive Disston No 7 rip saw with a 28 inch plate. It is an early saw with an 1878-1888 medallion and marked with three patents on the handle. There are even remnants of a paper label around the medallion. It is as close to factory perfect as a 140 year old saw can be. The only apology is where a previous owner scraped away the marking or initials of an earlier owner. The plate itself is clean, straight, and has a bold etch.
