Since this map’s first publication over 70 years ago, it has become the main consulting tool to know and travel the Argentine routes. The front features a road map, which shows the main and secondary road network of the country. The road map also shows political divisions, indication of partial kilometers between localities, parks and national and provincial reserves, border crossings, and the main routes of the bordering countries. It also includes details of the surroundings and access to the city of Buenos Aires. On the back is the Map of Distances and Tourist Regions, based on the regionalization proposed by the Ministry of Tourism of the Nation; it indicates thermal centers and winter sports, tourist train stations, sites suitable for wildlife watching, national parks, and the wine circuit.
