The LOJ Conversions Gen III/IV Small Block Chevy (LS Engines) and Gen V Small Block Chevy (LT Engines) to Mopar 8HP / ZF8 (8HP45 and 8HP50) Transmission Adapter specifically designed for mating to sought after ZF 8-Speed transmissions to your favorite LS and LT engines. The straight-forward approach and overall simple design will allow a seamless integration of these LS engines with the Mopar version of the ZF8. The adapter plate design incorporates a 360* mounting surface and mounts to GM factory style cast oil pans for enhanced rigidity.  The included billet aluminum Flexplate is a complete replacement of the factory LS/LT flexplate. Don't waste your time with torque converter adapters that still rely on the weak stock flexplate. Upgrade to a fully billet CNC machined flexplate from the start for maximum power holding and durability.  The steel converter pilot adapter is press fit into the stock pilot bearing register on the crankshaft to prevent unwanted noise from slip-fit parts and to properly align the converter to the crankshaft. Many model V6 cars from this era came with either the 8HP45 OR the 845RE, which are two DIFFERENT transmissions. The adapter will work with both, but the 845RE is garbage and no transmission controller is available for it. We will not accept returns because you bought the wrong transmission! Frequently Asked Questions: Will this kit require any modifications to my engine or transmission? Some.
