As I prepared to create a painting on wood panel, I created several small studies of the arrangement of daffodils in different colors. I love to do this with anything I paint, because ideally it allows me to distill the subject down to its essence and then translate my emotions and hand into its replication. This painting was part of that process- a simple study of color and form.  Looks good in a pair or trio with Daffodil Study in Purple and Red and Daffodil Study in Pink and Red.
