I have always loved white narcissus. I have memories from childhood of them growing on my grandmother's tabletop inside of a pretty footed glass vase filled with pebbles. While painting, I loved exploring the colors inside the shadows of their white petals, and took liberty with the greens of their fresh, blade-like leaves. Now they stand hopeful and vibrant against the black matte background of this gessoed wood panel.   This is a 12x12 original oil painting on panel.
