Swan Lake | Canvas

Eva and I have always loved reading the kids book version of the ballet "Swan Lake." When I started creating this painting, I went layer by later and waited a long time in between. The "lake" part and the background (including the curry yellow and bubblegum pink) were already there as a little pop to the neutral whites. I loved it so much, but just knew it wasn't complete. I starred at it for months, and then it finally came to me – a swan! Painted using only negative space and love, I hope you enjoy this sweet Odettee – painted in a fresh new way!
