Firefly Field | Art Print

  I saw the first sparkles of summer recently — first one little glow, then another. By the time I finished this painting, the field behind our house has been full of fireflies and it was just so beautiful! What activity is more nostalgic than running around a backyard and catching fireflies? It's pure summer magic, and I created this painting to capture the memories and the promise of summer and the simple magic summer holds for everyone — little ones, more seasoned ones, and everyone in between. I couldn’t decide whether to paint an expansive field or a forest, so I painted both! I hope one of them touches your particular attachment to long summer nights catching fireflies.
