This passive DWDM Mux Demux module multiplexes and demultiplexes 40 DWDM wavelengths of 100GHz ITU Grid channel spacing into a ring or point-to-point network. And the main advantage of DWDM Mux Demux is its passive nature – no power supply or cooling necessary, robustness – no special micro-climate requirements and as passive element, it has MTBF 100+ Years.  40 channel DWDM Mux Demux, designed by LightOptics® is based on AAWG (Athermal Arrayed Waveguide Grating) technology, allowing to organize 40 duplex, protocol independent parallel ITU-T G.694.1 compatible Dense Wavelength Division Multiplex (DWDM) data streams over pair of single mode optical fiber.The Mux DWDM is used with colored transceivers such as DWDM SFP, XFP, SFP+, SFP28 transceivers, it's transparent to any rate, any service multiplexing and upgrade, such applications as 1G/10G/25G Ethernet, SDH/SONET and 8/4/2/1G Fiber Channel. So it is usually flexible mix of DWDM SFP, DWDM-SFP10G-40 ( DWDM SFP 40km ), DWDM XFP and 25G DWDMIt is packaged with a 1U 19'' rack mount chassis for simple installation and modularity. This rack chassis system offers network equipment manufacturers a more scalable and higher-density solution to add DWDM capability to their existing and new networks with simple pluggable interface and upgrade CWDM networks by 1550nm or 1530nm window.
