
What Do "I" Want?
How did we get to where we are in our lives today? And, if we want to change, how do we do it? Many people ask these questions of themselves, not really knowing how to answer them. Who, what, and where we are in our lives at this very moment is the product of all our decisions and reactions to experiences in every prior moment of our lives. If we look further into our choices over all this time, how many of them can we say that we were truly present and self-aware when we made those decisions? We've all had the experience where we've desperately wanted something and then a short time after we get what we desire, we either forget about it or we ask why did we even want it in the first place? To go deeper, a great question to ask ourselves is what made us want that specific thing and why don't we want it anymore? What happened? Why did we make that choice? Did we make it consciously or from our conditioned beliefs? Inside each of us, there are many different “I’s”, each with their
