Jaw and jaw turnbuckles are used to adjust the length and tension of wire ropes, cables, and tie rods. This combination is commonly used for: Straight pull inline applications Tension systems Marine and outdoor applications Suspension bridges or buildings Aircraft construction The turnbuckles are drop forged into molds to create a strong, continuous piece of metal. They are then hot-dipped galvanized for a protective layer that prevents corrosion and rust from forming. Each piece meets Federal Specification FF-T791, Type 1, Form 1, Class 7, and ASTTM F-1145. You can purchase jaw and jaw turnbuckles in sizes ranging from 1/4×4” to 2-1/2×24” with a maximum working load limit of 75,000 lbs. End fittings are quenched and tempered, bodies are normalized.
