It is a great choice if you have a heavier device or just want less movement as you drive down the road. The car seat rail is made of strong aluminum tubing. This package includes a microphone mount that will work with a button or hook type microphone. This mount has a standard 4 hole AMPS plate. You can attach the optional remote head bracket EDS-30 for the DR-735 or EDS-28 for the DR-638 to the 4 hole AMPS plate with the included hardware. If you want to mount the entire transceiver you can attach the mounting bracket that came with your transceiver  to the 4 hole AMPS plate with the included hardware.
