If you're looking for an arid, xeroscape look to your landscape OR you just love unique plants, this is for you! Native to all of the Americas, prickly pear cactus have oval, grey-green pads that offer either YELLOW or PURPLE flowers in the spring followed by small, unique red-orange "pears" once plant is 2-3 years old. Both the fruit and the plant itself are edible! If soil is well draining during winter, these specimens should overwinter in our area with no issue.
