Moonglow Sweetbay Magnolia

Sweetbay Magnolia is grown for its creamy-white, lemon-scented flowers in May and June and attractive silvery backs of its leaves. Leaves drop in late Fall and reappear in early Spring. 'Moonglow' is an improved selection of Sweetbay that is both more cold-hardy (for zone 5 and 6 planting) and quite often will REBLOOM after its usual late Spring display of flowers. Unlike Southern magnolias, Sweetbays thrive in damp to even wet, soggy soil as well as ordinary garden soil.
