Hosaba Hoshifu Aucuba 3 Gal

Hosaba Hohifu' means "narrow-leaved, star variegated". This Japanese female selection of the evergreen aucuba has some of the brightest leaf splashing of any aucuba. Plants have narrow 7" long x 1 1/2" wide, dark green leaves, heavily speckled with yellow dots. If there is a male aucuba nearby, 'Hosaba Hoshifu' will bear large clusters of bright red berries the size of large peanuts. ('Mr. Goldstrike' is the only male cultivar we are sometimes able to offer.) The popular 'Gold Dust' or 'Variegata' are female.
