Growth Habit: Upright, this variety can reach about 2-3’ tall indoors. Light Requirements: Prefer bright indirect light, the darker the leaves, the more it can handle lower light conditions. Toxicity: Nontoxic to both cats and dogs according to ASPCA. General Care: Calathea move their leaves to maximize light absorption. Calatheas prefer humid environments, so placing them outside during the summer in indirect sunlight will encourage growth! Plants prefer moist soil and drying out some between watering. Water plants once a week or once every other week.
