Allee Elm

Allee' (pronounced "Al lay") elm is grown as a majestic, long-lived shade tree which grows fast and produces no flowers or fruit to litter sidewalks, decks or parking lots. 'Allee' grows very upright when young, then begins to spread out into an attractive vase-shape. Leaves turn rich yellow color before dropping for winter. Leaves re-emerge in spring. Also known as "Lace-Bark" elm, the tree develops gorgeous "exfoliating" (peeling) bark as it matures.
