Phoenix sylvestris Silver Date Palm Tree The Silver Date palm is native to India and Pakistan.  It has a gorgeous robust solitary trunk that can grow to 50 feet tall with an interesting deep orange diamond pattern created by leaf scars. Leaves are pinnate and silvery blue-green growing to 10 feet in length.  The Silver Date Palm is truly easy to grow. It thrives in a wide range of soils in full sun or partial shade, is drought tolerant, cold-hearty, and has light nutritional requirements.
