RQ-7 SHADOW HISTORY: The RQ-7 Shadow is an American unmanned aerial vehicle used by the United States Army, Australian Army, Swedish Army, Turkish Air Force and Italian Army for reconnaissance, surveillance, target acquisition and battle damage assessment. The proven RQ-7B program has a distinguished record with over 1.3 million flight hours, 85% being in combat. It has supported the warfighter in some of the most strenuous operational and challenging environmental conditions.  Over 500 RQ-7 Shadows are in operational use throughout the world carrying electro-optic/infrared imaging sensors and having a range of over 62 mile and a 4-hour on-target loiter time.  The Shadow UAV is also capable of landing on a sports field.
