A serene composition of a male figure with closed eyes. On the verso of the lithograph it is printed with the following verse, “… to childhood illnesses that so strangely begin with such a number of profound and grave transformations,”. Ben Shahn protested social injustice and honored ordinary people in lithographs, paintings, photographs, and public murals. He is best known for his works of social realism, his left-wing political views, and his series of lectures published as The Shape of Content. From a private collection.
