A lithographic poster depicting the Winter Olympic Games in Sarajevo designed by Andy Warhol. Published in 1984. Warhol was commissioned to create posters along with other artists and he depicted the “speedskater” as his subject. The silhouetted figure with expressive lines and color blocks is like the artist’s portrait series also created in 1980s. From a private collection. Dimensions: 34.25”h x 25”w x .75”d (framed). There is some indication of fading but overall, the print is in good vintage condition. Andy Warhol (1928-1987) was an American visual artist, film director, and producer who was a leading figure in the visual art movement known as pop art.
