LSU White Honey Fig Tree

The LSU Honey White Fig is another "unofficial" release from the famous fig breeding program at Louisiana State University. This variety produces bountiful harvests of sweet, luscious figs that have a yellow exterior and golden interior. The honey flavor on these is very pronounced and each fig tastes like pure nectar at peak ripeness. Much like all the other LSU fig varieties, LSU White Honey is a fast-growing tree that should start producing figs in the second year of growth. We have seen instances where it will form a few figs in the first year, but certainly in the second year. Whether enjoyed fresh off the tree or transformed into preserves and jams, these figs are an absolute delight!
