Inspiration for his still life came a lot from the southern French markets and beaches and with references to an old Spanish tradition where bunches of grapes, figs or other edibles are applied to plates (platos de engaño). The poster is from the exhibition PICASSO KERAMIK, the large exhibition in the spring of 2018, which marked the beginning of Louisiana's 60th anniversary year. Although Picasso's art can probably be recognized by the vast majority, his ceramic production has not been in focus in the same way.
