Original artwork by writer and occultist Elphias Levi. I first became aware of this image from the move As Above So Below, and in doing more research on the origins of this image I found it published in Levi's book "The History of Magic" 1859. The text in Latin reads: Qvod Svperivs Macroprosopvs Sicvt Qvod Inferivs Microprosopvs. “That Superior Macroprosopus is like that Inferior Microprosopus.” “Stola Dei” translates to “Garment of God.” Canvas measures 16 x 20 inches. The canvas has a depth oh 0.5 inches.
