Despite the seemingly endless capabilities of a smartphone, we've found ourselves craving utilitarian objects with a single purpose. A fitting example is the AB1A alarm clock, designed by Dietrich Lubs in 1994. Widely loved as a modern classic, the AB1A was marketed as a travel accessory, though it wound up replacing countless bedside alarms over the years.  In early 2011, with the approval of Lubs, Braun reintroduced the clock with slight modifications to the original. Like the AB1A, the new BCN001 (pictured) is notable for its reductive design, easy to read dial, and crescendo alarm.  Materials: ABS plastic Dimensions: 2.25" square, 1" deep High precision quartz German movement Runs on one AA battery (included)
