Moroccan Agatized Turritella Rough Chunk!
Moroccan Turritella is a form of Turritella that has been silica replaced! Now being an agate, it is a lapidary grade fossil, generally with the outside appearance well preserved! It can sometimes be cut with the interior chambers being preserved within the agate, or it can be quartz (and sometimes even hollow with crystals) filled. One thing is certain, these fossil specimens sure are neat! Weight: Approx 5.2 oz Measurements (inches - longest - approx): 3.3 x 1.6 x 1.6 I do my best to represent the stones with photos. I don't enhance photos, though sometimes brightness and contrast on monitors may differ, and while a photo may look just like the rock on my end, it will sometimes appear brighter or duller on your end. I run my monitor at default brightness and contrast settings.
