French prisoner of war bone model. Late 18th, early 19th century. With extensive rigging and details. Fitted to a wooden stand simulating the waterline with a painted sea. Hull and deck is planked in bone. Warrior figurehead at the bow with a fragmented British ensign flying astern. The bone planks are fastened to the hull with metal trunnions.
