The Netting in this Blanket is 100% Biodegradable. The Photodegradable Brown Poly Net that is in this blanket will biodegrade after 90 days.  Straw/Coconut-Net Erosion Control Blankets can be utilized to slow down water flow, prevent silt and erosion, and promote re-vegetation. They also aid in the germination of newly planted seeds by shielding seeds from erosion and reducing weed growth.
